No fee · No obligation

Puppy application.

This is how every placement starts. It takes about five minutes, it costs nothing, and it commits you to nothing. We read every one and we call you.

What happens next

1 You send this It goes straight to our inbox. No fee is taken and nothing is reserved yet.
2 We read it properly Usually the same evening. We are looking for a match, not for a sale.
3 We call you About half an hour. We answer everything and we ask plenty in return.
4 You meet the litter In person or by video. You choose with our guidance.
5 $500 deposit Only once we have both decided. It comes off the balance.

Please be honest

There are no wrong answers here, only mismatches. Telling us the house is empty from eight until six does not disqualify you from anything — it just changes which puppy, or which year, is right. The only thing that goes badly is finding out later.

We do say no

Regularly, and we tell you why. It is almost always a mismatch of lifestyle rather than anything personal, and people often come back a year or two later when things have changed. That is a good outcome.

I understand a Great Dane typically lives 8–10 years. * I understand the ongoing cost is roughly $200–$350 a month, plus emergencies. * I understand an adult may weigh 110–185 lb and stand 28–34 in at the shoulder. * I have read, or will read before pickup, the page on bloat and GDV. * I agree to contact Northern Great Dane Home first if I am ever unable to keep the dog. * Everything above is accurate to the best of my knowledge. *
